Laina Mae Kirkeide

Thank you for visiting my website and your interest in learning more about my ballet and academic life. I am a native South Floridian living in New York City, attending The School of American Ballet in Lincoln Center as a full time residential student. My ballet journey is diverse; I began as a competitive contemporary dancer and trained first in the Cuban style, then in the Russian Classical style, and now in Balanchine. My leadership roles at SAB and life in New York City have broadened my curiosity in politics, economics, and culture, and the nature of their intersection and communication.  I am focused on engaging in my community to create a positive and lasting impact.
